A graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Joanna Hyatt’s first immersion into the world of procuring content was an on-air host and producer for one of the first online platform channels, SAFE WORLD. Joanna interviewed celebrity personalities and sought out stories that spoke directly to the core young audience. From this experience, she become one of the revolving on-air hosts for the well renowned, JCTV. Joanna’s personal and professional life collided when she ate a live praying mantis on camera in exchange for friends to attend church with her. It became an Internet sensation that reached over 15 million views.
In 2007, Joanna utilized her media experience to move into the feature film realm as a Production Executive with Mpower Pictures, where she worked with producers Steve McEveety (Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ) and John Shepherd (The Ultimate Gift) on multiple films, including the powerful, award winning The Stoning of Soraya M. that shed light on the struggle for women’s rights in the Middle East.
During her time at Mpower, Joanna became heavily involved with a pregnancy clinic in Santa Monica, CA. She quickly realized she had a passion for young women and the struggles they face with choices related to sexuality and relationships. Joanna left the film industry and took on the role of Director for Reality Check, a non-profit teen pregnancy and STD prevention program. From 2010-2012, Joanna developed the program into a nationally replicated STD and teen pregnancy prevention curriculum, while simultaneously speaking to over 10,000 teens annually in the Los Angeles area.

She has been featured in numerous documentaries and as a guest commentator for both radio and television, including the Focus on the Family documentary, Irreplaceable. She has been a regular fixture at conferences around the world, speaking along side such notable personalities as Bob Goff, Francis Chan, and David Crowder. She has also partnered to produce content for Chevy with the popular website, Mommy Loves Tech, as well as collaborating on content with the Plain Jane Project and notable personalities including Candace Cameron Bure and Rebecca St. James.
Currently, Joanna is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Live Action, a national non-profit that seeks to educate on abortion and the humanity of the preborn. She is involved with major gift donors, content creation and oversees relationships with outside influencers.
Joanna Hyatt is based out of the Pacific Northwest, traveling often for work or to accompany her husband, Andrew Hyatt, on the set of whatever film he is directing. They have three daughters.
